Sutrah

There is nothing to buy

It is free. It stays free.

No paid tier, no trial that runs out, no card on file, and no plan to add one. Other tools in this category charge a couple of pounds a month and that is a fair thing for them to do. This one does not, so if you want to give something back, here is what is actually useful.

Make du'a

This is the one we actually want. Remember whoever built and maintains this in your du'a — that is the whole payment, and it is worth more than the alternative.

Send it to one person

Not a broadcast. One colleague who keeps missing Asr in back-to-back meetings, or one friend who has given up on the recurring 12:30 block. That is how every person here arrived.

Print one for your masjid

The monthly timetable is a one-page PDF with the coordinates, method and qibla printed on it so anyone can check it. Noticeboards still work.

Tell us when a time is wrong

A time that disagrees with your masjid is the most useful message we get. Say which city, which prayer and which method, and it gets looked at.

Why there is no donate button

Taking money changes what this is. A donation implies an obligation to keep the servers running on someone else's schedule, and it means handling other people's money for a thing that costs very little to run. Neither is a commitment worth making badly.

If you have money you want to give away for the sake of Allah, give it to your local masjid, or to whoever is feeding people this week. That is a better use of it than this website, and there is no version of this page that honestly argues otherwise.

What this project does need is people who tell one other person, and people who say when something is wrong. Both are free, and only one of them can be bought.

Hear when something ships

Rarely, and only when there is something to say. No newsletter, no drip sequence.
